First, we are obliged to accept the truth that this is a debatable subject. The reality is, each is better in several tones; it depends on your requirements. And we also need to accept the truth that much of the news about the "inferiority of video" is no longer adequate.
Technical Quality Compared
It is generally thought that the quality of 35mm motion picture film (as seen on television) is more reliable than video. If we are speaking about the creative variations, then the film has a clear advantage for the past reasons we've perceived. But as more and more film-style, video creation is being accomplished, majorly in single-camera HDTV/DTV, this passage is fading.
