While Google took this decision to improve the viewer experience, advertising on YouTube may be concerned about capturing a viewer's interest in a few seconds. Advertisers can still create unskippable 20-second or 6-second ads, but TrueView ads might be a better option. According to Google, viewers who don't skip your commercial are 10X more likely to share it, subscribe to your brand channel, and/or engage with it. You only have to pay if no one skips!
